Public Lecture: Tracks Across America

In April of this year, Caterpillar Inc. will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the formation of the company. To celebrate, join us for birthday cake and cash bar at the historic Creve Coeur Club as authors Mark Johnson and Steve Tarter discuss their new book, Tracks Across America: “Caterpillar” Tractors and the Growth of a Nation. Mark Johnson is a retired Caterpillar Inc. engineer and a former President of the Peoria Historical Society. Steve Tarter is a former reporter for the Peoria Journal Star newspaper. The authors will share the challenges faced over a decade spent writing and then publishing their book and lead both a discussion and question-and-answer session.
