Twenty years ago, Marylee Nunley initiated the first camp for local stroke survivors and their caregivers, aiming to provide a positive weekend for those facing the challenges of stroke. Together with her husband John, family, and friends, she organized a weekend camp at Living Springs Camp near Lewistown, IL. This singular event sparked a movement, leading to over 300 camps across 28 states and involving thousands of participants.
