Springdale Cemetery will commemorate Veterans Day 2025 with a ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, at Soldiers Hill. This year’s program continues Springdale’s proud tradition of honoring those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The event will feature guest speaker U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Paul Lewis and military honors led by the American Legion Post #2 Honor Guard.

After the ceremony, guests are invited to join the “Drive to Remember” — a self-guided driving tour honoring the legacy of our community’s heroes. Each participant will receive a printed map and route guide, enhanced by an interactive GPS “Grave Finder” accessible via QR code. The tour highlights distinguished veterans resting at Springdale — some dating back to the Revolutionary War — along with a special selection of Unmarked Veterans, whose final resting places remain without markers. This year’s observance will also include the dedication of three newly installed, crowd-funded veteran headstones, part of an ongoing campaign to ensure that the courage of these brave men is “Forgotten No More.”
