Peoria Players Theatre is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) community theatre. We are the nation’s fourth longest continuously-running community theatre, and the longest in the state of Illinois. Peoria Players originated on October 6, 1919 in Peoria, Illinois with a one-act play by Oliphant Down entitled The Maker of Dreams and has been in continuous operation since. We typically perform six productions in our main season, September through May, along with a musical revue in June, our Summer Youth Theatre in August, a holiday performance in December, and a New Year's Eve special.
