Step into a world of imagination at the Peoria Playhouse Children’s Museum. The Playhouse encourages children to become explorers and creators of the world, promoting play through exhibits and special programming. Hands-on exhibits such as “Family Farm” and “By Your River, Gently Flowing, Illinois” draw on Peoria and Central Illinois, celebrating the past, present and future of our community.
Built by the Junior League of Peoria, in collaboration with Peoria Park District and Peoria Zoological Society, The Peoria PlayHouse is a hands-on, interactive children’s museum. It is located in the historic Glen Oak Park Pavilion building within Glen Oak Park, adjacent to Peoria Zoo and near Luthy Botanical Garden, providing a full-day destination for families in our region.
The Peoria PlayHouse Children's Museum provides children with the tools and inspiration they need to be explorers and creators of the world. It does this in part through understanding, supporting, and promoting play in the fullest sense of the word, one that includes imagination and creativity.
