Join us for a German Springfest (Frühlingfest) in Pekin, Illinois on Sunday, April 14th from 12pm-8pm at the Avanti’s Event Center, 3401 Griffin Drive, Pekin, Illinois. Pekin has a rich German History and as part of the Pekin Bi-Centennial we would like you to join us for a day for German food music, drink and entertainment Admission is free.
Entertainment will feature Grammy Award nominee, Eddie Korosa, Jr. and his band from 4-7pm. Franz Neff & Friends from Schleswig-Holstein with start at 1pm. The Lindenhof Echos (alphorns) will also perform during the day.
German food will be available for purchase including our famous Über Schnitzel sandwich. This special sandwich includes our pork schnitzel with sauteed onions and Gouda or Swiss Cheese on a bun. Also being served: pork schnitzel, bratwurst, frankfurters (hotdogs), German potato salad, sauerkraut, red cabbage, Bavarian pretzels and dessert. Food will be served until 7pm unless we run out.
The cash bar will feature a number of German beer selections.
The event is being co-sponsored Harmonie-Concordia, an affiliate of the Peoria German American Society, and the Avanti’s Event Center.
We accept cash and checks. An ATM is on site.
