No other band in America was more popular from 1969 through 1976 than Three Dog Night, which dominated the pop, rock and R&B charts with 21 hit singles, including 11 top 10’s and earned a dozen consecutive gold albums. It sold over 50 million records by 1977 and helped to usher in the age of arena rock through a series of massively successful concert tours. Founded in the late 1960’s by Danny Hutton, the band curated and interpreted an amazing array of songs from important songwriters of the day like Elton John, Laura Nyro, Randy Newman, John Hiatt, Harry Nilsson, Paul Williams, and Hoyt Axton.
The Eagles founding member, the late Glenn Frey, knew what he was saying when he dubbed Little River Band “the best singing band in the world.” Through the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, LRB enjoyed huge chart success with multiplatinum albums and chart topping hits like: “Cool Change,” “The Night Owls,” Happy Anniversary,” “Reminiscing,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Take It Easy On Me,” “Help Is on Its Way,” “We Two,” “Man On Your Mind,” “The Other Guy,” and It’s A Long Way There.” Little River Band has multi-generational families attending shows. The fans are tapping their toes or on their feet singing along while reminiscing about the good old days. Each show sparks magical moments that make new memories. The year 2025 marks the 50th Anniversary for Little River Band.
