Born in Michoacan, Mexico, Rogelio Retugin immigrated with his family to Peoria when he was just 11 years old. He remembers how warmhearted and supportive the community was toward him and his family. This made a long-lasting positive impact in his life and this motivated him to give back to the community.
Rising Tide Station opened its doors in August 2021. This is the third business Rogelio proudly owns and operates in the greater Peoria area. Rising Tide Station is a store for outdoor enthusiasts and features merchandise that rotates seasonally and customers can expect to always find something new!
Rogelio’s biggest motivation comes from raising his son. He is passionate about teaching his son to always give back to the community that supported him and his family when they first arrived in the United States.
