The Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate is a health advocacy organization, raising awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer. Race for the Cure and other events help us keep the promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever. Seventy-five percent of net proceeds support local community health grants throughout our 36-county service area. The other 25 percent goes to cutting-edge research to prevent, treat and cure the disease. From rural to urban areas, the Komen Memorial Affiliate is called to action to address the unmet breast health needs of the women of Illinois.
