Bear's Bites // Pekin, Illinois Made Maker 2023 // Samm Hutchinson is on a mission to provide the best treats for animals with sensitivities (or not). Single-ingredient treats for your furry friends are proudly made in the USA. All the fruits and veggies used are organic, and the meats are hormone—and steroid-free. Available at our holiday shop are “Thanksgiving meals,” dehydrated chicken and beef, and freeze-dried chicken and beef treats. 

Bluhaven Farm // Speer //  Enjoy locally grown popcorn from a fourth-generation family farm. Dale Blunier is the current owner of the farm, which started in 1970 and has been growing ever since. You’ll find them at the Peoria Riverfront Market throughout the summer and at the Thanksgiving Market at the Peoria Riverplex. They offer various popcorn kernels, from 2 LB bags to sampler packs. These make a wonderful gift. 

Buket Avery Fine Art // Peoria // Buket specializes in acrylics and graphite. Her paintings are colorful and distinctive. Her favorite subject and most recognized are the adorable highland cows. Her inspiration came from her long walks through the forest in Amsterdam, Netherlands, when she would pass by these friendly cows full of personality. 5” x 5”, 5”x7”, 8”x8”, and 8”x10” prints are available, along with gift tags. 

CxT Roasting Company // Peoria, Illinois Made Maker 2023 // This local family business is one you don’t want to pass up. With a passion for roasting and working together, Kelly, Mitch, and Tristen deliver a delicious caffeine fix. You'll find the "Peoria Blend" whole bean + ground along with hand-poured kavaLilly soy candles + Monocle chocolate bars made in Peoria.

Grayson's Craft Hot Sauce // Germantown Hills // What started as a hobby garden to make delicious salsa turned into experimenting with hot sauce so the peppers didn’t go to waste. The business grew from there and year over year, Matt has perfected his hot sauce combinations. Offering 3 pack’s or single bottles, you’ll find the Original, a medium spice level, to TR1-2-DI3 sauce which packs a punch! 

Hawaii Hive-O // Bartonville  // A small local apiary located in the countryside. Local, raw honey bottles are available for the perfect gift this holiday season, or for your own enjoyment! 

Hayloft Shops // Mossville  // Becky operates a specialty shop that offers unique gifts, gourmet items, clothing, and antiques. She makes a fantastic Garlic Herb Salt that goes great on just about anything! We are also featuring unique commemorative ornaments designed by Becky Schotthofer. Intuition Coffee + Juice // Peoria // With the belief that “life's an adventure meant to be lived to the fullest” Ty Paluska is dedicated to making sure each day it starts with coffee. His focus is hospitality, quality, sustainability, culture and community which you’ll experience visiting their downtown Peoria location. We have 3 different blends at the Holiday store. 

It's the Balm Diggity // Wyoming  //  Sean Morriseey is a 4th generation farmer in Stark County, IL. Sean was drawn to continue fostering the natural world and was drawn to beekeeping. Utilizing beeswax to make cosmetic products, primarily lip balm, his company was born. The balms are made with the highest quality ingredients, keeping it limited to 5 (along with care and love). You can find a variety of scents + 3 packs for sale at our Holiday Shop. 

KOBE Atelier // Dunlap // Originally created in Kobe, Japan, by a French Designer, Kobe Atelier creates handmade jewelry and ornaments that blend traditional Japanese materials and techniques with modern and western design. Having recently moved the the Peoria area, we are excited to highlight her Mizuhiki bracelets + earrings, Kimekomi ornaments, and Miyuki glass beaded bracelets. 

Lost Art Design & Print // Peoria //  This women-owned business is located in Keller Station. They design + create clothing + items which we feature at the Discover Peoria Holiday Shop. We’re featuring their “Peoria Whiskey City” blanket, Peoria shot glass, and Peoria glass ornament. 

Made by Michelle // Peoria // Michelle established her business in 2020 (phew, what a year!). She carefully curates uniquely scented soy candles + wax melts in wooden molds. Once your candle is done, she’ll refill it for only $10 and you can pick any scent from her many many choices! 

Molly Crusen Bishop // Chillicothe // 100 Things to do in Peoria before you Die (Book) is the perfect gift to encourage people to explore where they live. 

Moreygirl // Elmwood // When Heather realized she was “settling” for bags that weren’t quite right for her personal style and needs, she started sewing! You’ll find functional + cute crossbody bags and repurposed quilted makeup zipper pouches for gifting this holiday season (we won’t tell if you keep one for yourself). 

Macha Chili Crisp // Peoria // Barbara Kaptanian-Ruth is the founder of Macha Chili Crisp and she draws inspiration from her childhood, which was filled with the joy of celebration through good food. During her travels to Mexico, she experienced Salsa Macha for the first time and was hooked. When she was back in the US, she had a hard time finding a product like it. Through lots of recipe testing and research, she’s developed a delicious Mexican Macha Chili Crisp. You can find her products at Sous Chef, Pottstown Meat & Deli, Voilá Macarons, and select Hy-vee stores.

The Picket Fence Foundation // Chillicothe // A nonprofit full-service floral, gift + garden center that makes meaningful work accessible by providing training and employment opportunities to adults with disabilities. Our holiday shop features their beautifully made mittens from repurposed sweaters and hand-woven rugs. 

Rick’s Pecker Palace // Elmwood // Soaps, Salves, Tallow body butter and more! Locally made + sourced ingredients. 

Rose and a Compass // Peoria // 52 Dates in Greater Peoria (book). Madison + Robert Lawrence have got your next date night covered … actually, the next 52 dates! This newly released book challenges couples, families, and friends to experience the innovative spirit of Peoria through unique date itineraries crafted by life long Peorians.

Wilson Services of Central Illinois // East Peoria // While we feature some holiday decor from this incredible local company, they offer much more from grounds maintenance to interior plantscaping to commercial holiday decor and event rentals (Simply Rented). 

Wooden Element // Peoria // Founded in 2015 by David + Natalie Akerle with a dream to create a brand with a balanced focus on environmental conservation, old fashioned customer service, social responsibility, creativity, sustainability, community relationships and unique fashion. We are a Green America certified business that crafts our products from ethically sourced sustainable materials. Using eco-friendly resins, FSC sourced natural or repurposed wood. Our Holiday Shop features their chronograph watches, wood + resin earrings and RFID smart wallets (expandable + pop up). 

Youngs Popcorn Heaven // Peoria // Delicious gourmet popcorn made with limited ingredients but big on flavor. You can find select flavors like Sea Salt Caramel, Chi-Town, and Cheese at our shop or check out their local store for up to 55 flavors!
