It's finally September, so that means it's basically fall, right? Let's run with that. Here are upcoming festivals to get you into the fall state of mind.

Pekin Marigold Festival on September 9-13—A festival that started in 1973 as a block party has grown into a community-wide event that draws thousands of visitors. Designed for the whole family, the Marigold Festival offers everything from carnival rides and Art in the Park to Cardboard Boat Races, live music and more!

Elmwood Fall Festival on September 10-12—Three days of small-town fun just west of Peoria! You'll find a parade, carnival rides, games, live music, delicious food, vendors and more!

Havana Oktoberfest on September 11-13—Havana Oktoberfest is a fantastic weekend filled with culture and fun. Get ready for food and drinks, vendors, live music, a carnival and parade, contests, and even a polka pace race!

Morton Pumpkin Festival on September 16-19—Celebrate fall in the Pumpkin Capital of the World! This festival is a pumpkin lover's dream come true. Events include the Pumpkin Boxcar Derby, the Pumpkin Princess pageant, and the Pumpkin Classic 10K. Don't miss the famous Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast, but arrive early!
