As an eight-time bridesmaid, I can testify to the fact that being asked to stand by a bride on her wedding day is one of the greatest honors a friend can hold, but with that question often comes planning a handful of events. We are here to make your job a bit easier with all the inspiration you need for an unforgettable and laid-back bachelorette weekend in central Illinois.

FRIDAY
All great bachelorette weekend's start with leaving work a little early and getting ready for the evening together. Turn on that early 2000s playlist, fire up the curling irons, and make reservations at one of these great area dinner spots with a stop for drinks or dessert after.
Saffron Social / Revel & Maker - Nestled in downtown Peoria, Saffron Social will make you feel as if you have been transported to New York City with all the steaks, seafood, and pasta you could dream of. Following dinner, take the short walk to the second floor Revel & Maker for high-end cocktails (try the Isabella) and desserts. You can even stash the coaster for a cute souvenir.
Jonah’s Seafood House / Tin Lizard - East Peoria boasts an amazing spot for seafood lovers with an even better view of the Peoria skyline - make sure to call ahead to Jonah’s in order to have your celebration listed on the daily menu. The Tin Lizard, housed in the Par-A-Dice Hotel, is perfect for the group who wants to keep the night going with live music and outdoor seating.
The 208 House / Scroll’s Rolled Ice Cream - Morton is home to The 208 House which is actually a renovated home - complete with a private dining room upstairs. After a delicious dinner, make your way to Scroll’s which is open until 9pm for a sweet treat that can be enjoyed inside or out by the twinkle lights.
SATURDAY
Whether you would like an urban feel to the day or a rural vibe, the best bachelorette weekends start Saturday with a group coffee outing and include shopping and some time outdoors. Choose your adventure route as long as you have the bride wear the quintessential white sash.
Peoria
Begin at Zion Coffee for a matcha or latte amid a minimalist design, but be sure to save room for brunch at Ardor Breads & Provisions - an Illinois Made Maker known for their baked goods.
The Peoria Riverfront Market is open every Saturday 8am-12pm from late May through late September. Bring your canvas tote bags and pursue the fresh produce, locally made items, plants, and treats all while enjoying live music and views of the Illinois River.
End your day with a picnic at the charming Luthy Botanical Garden where the last admission is at 4:30pm or enjoy an outdoor dinner at Cyd’s in the Park where you can stick around for some stargazing.

Eureka / Washington
Step back in time as you enter Faire Coffee which is located in an old bank and enjoy one of their unique flavor combinations. Nearby is the beautifully curated Objects gift store full of antiques and one-of-a-kind housewares. If you’re hosting a bridal shower as well and need game prizes, look no further.
After the 10 minute drive over to Washington, stop at Jack of All Collective to keep the shopping streak going before a rooftop lunch at Tangled Roots on the Square.
Lastly, enjoy a late afternoon hike at Farmdale Reservoir amidst the prairie and pines to wind down the day.
SUNDAY
The final day of a bachelorette weekend should be the most relaxed of all and nowhere is better for slow meandering than Peoria Heights with endless spots to dine, shop, and take in the views.
Start the crew off with coffee at CxT Roasting Company or a fresh drink at Feels Like Ohm Juice before embarking on the day’s activities.
Generations Candle Co. offers over 90 fragrances and custom vessels to create your own candle. It takes about 30 minutes for most guests and can easily accommodate groups by reservation.
While you wait for your candles to cool, do some window shopping in A Perfect Pear Boutique, The Nook Gift Shop, and So Chic Boutique. You can even snag a group photo in the free photobooth at So Chic or some last-minute gifts for the bride.
End your time together with a walk on the historic Grandview Drive - the wedding will be here before you know so enjoy some final breaths of calm.
